Professor Mariya Letdin

Mariya Letdin holds a Ph.D. in Finance and is the Kyle Riva Associate Professor of Real Estate at the Herbert Wertheim College of Business at Florida State University (USA). Her research focuses on real estate capital markets, REIT market structure, and municipal fiscal health. She serves on the editorial boards of the 
Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics and the Journal of Real Estate Research.  Dr. Letdin is a NAIOP Distinguished Fellow and serves on the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Research Institute (RERI). She is the founding faculty advisor of the FSU Student Real Estate Investment Fund, where she oversees a student-managed real estate investment portfolio and mentors future investment professionals. She collaborates with industry and institutional partners on research related to REIT factors, the introduction of REIT regimes in emerging markets, and commercial real estate debt.

Professor Richard Ronald

Richard Ronald is a Professor of Housing at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is also affiliated with the Australian Centre for Housing Research at Adelaide University, where he is an Adjunct Professor.  His research focuses on housing in relation to social, economic, and urban transformations in Europe and Pacific Asia. His most recent work addresses housing asset wealth and intergenerational inequalities in access to homeownership. Richard previously served as Distinguished Professor at Hong Kong Metropolitan University and Guest Professor at the University of Birmingham, UK, National University Singapore and Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. He was also a Doctoral and Postdoctoral Fellow at Kobe University in Japan. He currently edits the Contemporary City book series for Palgrave Macmillan and is former Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Housing Policy.

Associate Professor Giulia Terlizzi

Giulia Terlizzi is an Associate Professor of Comparative Private Law in the Law Department at the University of Turin. From 2021 to 2024, the individual was an associate member of the Confluence Sciences et Humanités research unit, Pôle 6 Sciences juridiques, politiques et sociales at the Catholic University of Lyon. She has been a Research Fellow at the Paul André Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law, Faculty of Law, McGill University, Montreal, CA. She is a member of the Italian Committee of the Henri Capitant Association of Friends of French Legal Culture since 2010, and of the Società Italiana per la Ricerca nel Diritto Comparato (SIRD) and of IUSE – Istituto Universitario di Studi Europei, Turin. She is also a member of the scientific and editorial committee of the journal
Politica.eu; the journal Persona e Mercato, the journal Archivi di diritto civile, and the journal Wealth Planning, which analyze the multiple legal instruments that make available to make asset ownership efficient and optimize generational transfer and asset protection. In 2024, she was invited as a Visiting Researcher at the IRJS of the Sorbonne University in Paris. In 2025, she held the position of Visiting Professor at IDCEL of Université Jean Moulin in Lyon. Her primary research areas include contract law, private autonomy, wealth planning and asset management, family law, legal pluralism, and jurilinguism.
